Product Review: HP Envy 7640 Wireless e-all-in-one [Hewlett-Packard Printer]

  1. hi, every time I print from my phone, it puts borders on the sides of my pictures. how can i take care of this?

  2. Everything the reviewer says about this printer is correct, except for one thing — it is terrible at scanning. I wish he had addressed that topic. I bought this printer, not realizing how bad it was at scanning photos, written material, etc. My older HP Deskjet F 4480 was working perfectly (and was excellent at scanning), but when I upgraded my Mac OS to Yosemite, it would not play with my existing printer. I purchased the HP Envy 7640 at a Best Buy because they had an incredible sale on it, and I'd had a good experience with HP. The HP Envy 7640 is a great printer, but if you want something that is also a great scanner I would advise against it. Unless I'm missing something . . .

  3. Hi, I need help and I've scoured Youtube vids trying to find a simple and permanent fix. I'm hoping you can help me. My Envy has never said Status: Online since I got it and I don't know why. There is a problem every time I have to print and it consistently says Status: Attention Required. There's a video for a quick fix of restarting the spooler, but I have to do that every single time and I need a permanent solution. Think you can help? Thanks in advance!

  4. I just returned mine HP Envy 7640 the color prints are poor quality

Thanks! Sorry for the delayed reply.
The single cartridge is probably my biggest issue with this printer.
Regarding the noise level of the printer… I personally feel that it is neither louder or quieter than any comparable machine. Not noticeably, at least.
If you're used to hearing a printer print while you're doing your thing, it shouldn't be a problem for you. And the scanner is pretty much on par with all other modern multifunction machines I've dealt with for the past few years.
I hope that helps. Let me know if you have any other questions I might be able to answer for you.

  6. Can I print for example 20 pages at once without to remove the pages from the output. So the printer has something to stop the paper falling out? Hope you understand what i mean.

  7. Do you know if this printer is capable of printing photos from a cell phone right out of the box without hooking it up to any computer?

  8. Is this printer any good for photos?

  10. My desktop is not wireless (old but works)  but laptop is. Can I have it set for both wireless & Ethernet at same time????

  11. Does this printer prints better quality photos than canon Pixma MG 7520?

  12. Did you encounter any false paper jam problem? the set that i just purchased kept giving prompting paper jam when there clearly isn't any paper in it. And also it has problem feeding any paper.

  13. I'm looking for an all in one printer with an auto feeder that scans as well. Basically, I would like to put a stack of papers for the printer to scan (preferably double sided). Do you have a printer recommendation in mind?

  15. I needed this info in a big way, so thanks for telling us all about it. Laura-Lee

  16. One other thing, I heard that all these new printers today REQUIRE Windows 10? Is that true? I am still running Windows Vista, so will this printer work for me? I really don't want to waste lots more money buying Windows 10! Thanks.

  17. Hello. Do you still think this is one of the best printers out there? Do you think there are any other printers that are as good, or better, than this particular one (and that can do everything this one does)? If so, please give me brand and model number(s).
    Thank you very much.

How do you resize the printing process on the HP ENVY 7640 printer, case in point to resize an image to fit onto the front cover of a Jewel case?

  19. Does it have duplex scanning through ADF? If so, how to use it?
